| WHAT IS A BIRTH DOULA? |
| DOULA... Is the Greek word meaning "woman who serves." In recent years the tradition of having a birth doula has been revived. She can be your mother, sister, aunt, grandmother. Most often though a doula is a woman who is professionally trained to provide continuous physical, emotional, and educational support during pregnancy, labor/delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. |
